This book is so adorable. I read it through on my own in one sitting and can't wait to read it aloud with our family (all teens and adults, mind you!). Although this is a children's book, the whole family will enjoy the real life antics of this family. I felt like I could picture the characters the entire time. Beautifully written and heartwarming! I couldn't put this book down! It is a book for all ages, youths and adults, and is a deeply affecting story of an intrepid heroine and a delightful family. I highly recommend it!
This is a very cute book that can be enjoyed by kids of all ages (even adults!). There is humor, the characters are believable and the stories are "real life" - not fantasy or unrealistic. Many kids would be able to identify with the main character in her desire for a pet and could learn from her accepting the closest she can get to having one. It is a wholesome and well written story, great for reading aloud! I smiled and laughed my way through it.
I really enjoyed this book. The stories are sweet, the writing is engaging, and I so appreciate the love-filled interaction among the characters (no snarky kids being disrespectful to their parents or each other!). I look forward to buying a copy of this book for my nieces.
