I never have been much of a fiction reader, as a matter of fact; I have read very few "non-tech" books in my 60+ years.I read this book the first time in 2 sittings. It is engrossing; it pulls you into the story and characters from the first chapter, making it very hard to put down.
The way this author has developed her characters, you might expect them to step off of the pages. This book is action packed and yet develops a story line that is akin to a real life, riveting drama, set in an alternate world. The intrigue and personal relationships and the exquisite detail make this a rare find indeed.
To be honest, the author is my daughter. As she knows well, I am brutally honest and I dreaded having to read Wanderborne the first time. To my surprise (and relief) I enjoyed it so much I read it a second time. I have also had the privilege of reading the first draft of her second book in the series (dads do have an advantage); again I couldn’t put it down. She allowed me to read the first ten chapters of the third and I beg her every day for another chapter. Rachael has been writing for as long as I can remember and I am thrilled to have read this talented young author.

I read this book after it was suggested by my grandma, and it was amazing! A lot of thought was put into this book, and the plot was very good. I recommend this book to everyone who likes to read.
History-placed fantasies are my favorite kind of books, and that's Wanderborne all over. Lynn and her fellow warriors are so lovable because they're like real people- flaws and all.
I highly recommend this book. If you like Divergent you will like this one too.
